We had this last night for supper, hard to beat stew on a cold night.

We have the same meal once a month, looking good.

I love deer chili and that looks dang good. Can you believe those dang Texan's don't like beans in their chili?

There is a TV show "Monsters inside me" that I have watched once, three shows one after the other. They all had worms and larva inside people and it was all traced back to raw fish. So, yall eat away, I will drop my raw fish in bubbling peanut oil.

Just an ole dumbass here, but don't eat raw fish; this is good advice, heed it.

Backstrap looks great, we do almost the same thing, however we use water chestnuts and jalapeno pepper slices.

Naw, got them in every window seal (sp) in the house waiting to ripen.

Been a good year

I talked to the Boss and she boils them, pours off the hot water, refills the pot with cold water and lets them sit for around 10 minutes. She peels them under cold running water from the faucet. Oh yeah, she also puts about a TBSP of salt in the boiling water. We eat a lot of boiled eggs.

Looks good. I took an inventory of our deer meat and told the wife we need to get busy eating it. If I have any left when the gun season starts I have a friend that will take all I will give him and he eats every bit of it. He also appreciates it very much. I got thousands of acorns on the ground. I watched a doe and two fawns eating them today. The two fawns could not get enough, doe kept leaving and coming back to check on them.

I just have two plots I plant, so I go with the latest and greatest at the co-op, works for me.

I have prepped the food plots, but I got to have some rain before I start disc'n, tilling and planting, the dirt is like concrete.
