That is weird, that's pretty good shooting for a pellet gun. I never have been able to cook a merganser that tasted good.

I shoot 3" through an imp cylinder 90 percent of the time. Occasionally I will use a modified choke but still shoot 3" shells.

Yeah we have killed no big ducks yet. Woodies and Ringnecks mostly what we getting here.

We still have some local birds around but they're so scattered due to the flooding we had during Christmas that they're hard to hunt. Guess what I'm saying is that they are still here just not congregated in any great numbers like they normally would be this time of year. We've had woodies roosting ...

We have a pond on our lease that is about 12 acres that is loaded with crappie. Most of the ones I kept yesterday were 12-14 inches. We eating them for supper right now.daniel white wrote:you in a lake or reservoir?

I caught a fine mess of crappie yesterday on jigs. I caught some with the jig suspended below a cork but most were caught casting with a slow retrieve. In about 10ft of water.
