Mauser m18’s are fine rifles.

This one will absolutely shoot but its a bit too much for me and why I had the notion to buy it is beyond me....I knew better

Had deer all around me before daybreak and had big boar to come by at 0815 but no shot opportunity
In the saddle again for my first evening hunt

Been swinging in a tree since 0530
Heard two deer browse through just before daybreak
Listening to a couple boars fighting in the big hollow and got turkeys to my right

Opening day was a bust for most people
I personally don’t know anyone who saw a deer Saturday
Maybe I’ll get to go after them Wednesday

Still hanging here
Hogs is all I’ve heard
Saw one squirrel
Going to climb down at noon

Acorns hitting the ground regularly
Had a few squirrels barking nearby but couldn’t see anything
Wind is out of the east in this hollow

Heard some hogs to my west
Been swinging in this tree since 0500

One last year check
Shot my last sets yesterday and anything within 30 yds will get stuck

One more practice and climbing session before opening day

Check your gear one more time

Been climbing with the saddle and shooting the bow
Am confident to kill a deer out to 30 yds

The weight limit is 300lbs on the JX3 that I have
I’ve watched some reviews on YouTube and there is a guy on there that goes over 300 says he’s been using his for 3 years now
They make others with higher weight limits

No I wasn't dissing on the BAR at all.
They are very reliable.

I didn’t take it you were dissing on it
Everyone knows the BAR is a tried and true firearm
I think the only way to get them to fail is to be just plain abusive to them

With 742 it was a timing issue more than a oil issue though that did cause problems
What Ive learned about them is that if you had a good one it couldnt be beat but if you had a bad one you looked for someone else to own it
Ive never heard of a jamming issue with the BAR....ever
