The "kick" is about like a 243 I guess. Heck I never pay attn to kick or recoil

The Barnes are deadly on deer, I took a doe with the 55gr TAC X with complete pass threw at 100 yards, would hesitate at all to smoke a big buck with one out to 200 yards either. But I do have other calibers to use, just sayin.
