Heard some hogs to my west
Been swinging in this tree since 0500

I’m set up in a white oak. Got a lot of honey bees 10’ above me swarming around. Ole blackface hornet comes through every so often at mach 90. Skeeters ate kicking my ass too. What good is a thermocell if u just leave it at home?

Acorns hitting the ground regularly
Had a few squirrels barking nearby but couldn’t see anything
Wind is out of the east in this hollow

Still hanging here
Hogs is all I’ve heard
Saw one squirrel
Going to climb down at noon

Opening day was a bust for most people
I personally don’t know anyone who saw a deer Saturday
Maybe I’ll get to go after them Wednesday

Heard two deer browse through just before daybreak
Listening to a couple boars fighting in the big hollow and got turkeys to my right

I had my wife a 6 pt broadside at 15 yards and she shot over it...she said I didn't tell her which pin, I said that means the top one

Had deer all around me before daybreak and had big boar to come by at 0815 but no shot opportunity
In the saddle again for my first evening hunt
