Deers & turkeys

Watched 29 hens fly down one by one this morning over a 10 minute period. At 8:15, a small rack buck comes out with em & dodges between the birds-with one of them actually running at him & chasing him back into the woods. He was only in the field for 20 secs or less. At 8:30 & in a tree right on the fields edge, a gobbler flies down after sitting in the tree watching all of it. Don't know about ya'll, but I HATE it when a silent spring gob stays up in the tree that long. They have a big time tendency to give you away. He just made me think of the times I've been busted by such birds in the spring.

That's a fact....I learned the hard way when I first started chasing those bastards....Gobble their head and you think they on the ground....Then 2 hours after daylight you move cuz they haven't only to bust em outta the tree....You can't teach someone enuff patience when it comes to turkeys...

Youll get better results if you shoot them on the pecker
