A great way to start the day

Not a very good picture, I guess was wanting to eat.

Fresh eggs (gathered this morning)
Heirloom Tomato (picked this morning)
Fresh butcher blend pork sausage
Buttered Toast
Two dollops of plum jelly (made two days ago)

Can't imagene it any better.

That looks great rutabaga! What kind of chickens laid those eggs?

Rhoad Island White (we have three and they have been laying for about a year and a half)
Brown Leghorns (we have three and they have been laying for about a year and a half)

These two breeds are moderate at best layers. However I have taken steps to jump start our egg production. I have added another eleven chickens. They were 13 +/- weeks old when I got them and they should all be laying sometime in August..

2 Rhoad Island Reds
3 Barred Rock
3 Amber Link
3 Black Australorp

I have Rhode Island reds too. At what age will they start laying?

I would say they will start laying around 23-25 weels old'
