butter beans

It might not look like much, but I was glad when I finished. shelling butter beans by hand, it is not a lot of fun, but it is something that can be done inside in the air conditioned house.
I think if the juvenile Judges would sentence kids to picking and shelling butter beans by hand, it would wipe out a lot of petty crime.

I shelled a lot of those when I was a kid. You're right, it isn't fun. Did you grow those or your generous neighbor?

I've never been a big fan of buterbeans....I like the little white peas......ladyfingers.....cream 40s....and occasionally purple hulls.

It sucks shelling. But its well worth it. I haven't met a bean or pea I haven't liked yet. Lol
