I make mine with salt, pepper, mayo, and a little pinch of ground mustard. Top with a small sprinkle of cayenne for color.

Boil eggs…depends on how many deviled eggs you want as to how many are boiled. After boiling, cooling and peeling, half your eggs. Deposit your yolk into a small bowl and place your white half on a plate.
Smash your egg yolk with a fork or similar utensil and get the yolks powdery. Now, at this point it depends on what you want a “tart” egg or a “sweet” egg.
For tart eggs, I add diced dill pickle - diced small adding a little juice to the mix. For extra, I dice some green olives and add to the pickle. To the yolk, pickle/olive mix, I add salt, pepper and mayonaise. Amounts depend on the amount you are making. I eyeball it. I do not always add olive but it does add a bit to the deviled egg when used.
For a sweet egg, I add diced sweet pickle, a bit of juice, mayonnaise, salt and pepper.
Generally speaking, I always top deviled eggs with paprika powder…lightly.
You can use the dill or sweet relish found at the grocer rather than chopping your pickles…I usually chop my own.
