Squirrel/rabbit and dumplings?

Post by Wiley »

Anybody got a recipe? I've done it all from scratch a time or 2 but wanted to see what y'all have to say.
The older I get the more I understand why roosters just scream to start their day.

When I was a kid I killed the squirrels and was always asked if I wanted them fried or with dumplings. It was usually a toss u unless the squirrels were old and tough and those went into a pot of dumplings. GOOD stuff!!

I know my Dad made very good squirrel dumplings
He would pressure cook the squirrel to make it fall apart

That’s how my mom would do it growing up. I like to fry em more than anything myself.
