When entering the front gate to the park, attendees should alert park staff that they are arriving for the Conservation Advisory Board meeting to be directed to the appropriate area.

If Americans with Disabilities Act accommodations are needed, please contact Betsy Jones at (334) 242-3486 or betsy.jones@dcnr.alabama.gov. Requests should be made as soon as possible, but at least five days prior to the scheduled meeting.

Attendees are asked to wear a mask that covers nose and mouth and to please maintain six feet of distance between themselves and others not of their household at all times. Additionally, anyone experiencing fever or other symptoms of illness is asked not to attend.

No, I don't plan to go. The seasons/bag limits have already been decided and published in the "digest". What little bit of the rules they want you to see are there too instead of the pamphlet containing all of them that the law requires.

The meeting is likely just a vacation opportunity for board members while making sure their rules can't be questioned on procedural grounds because they didn't have two meetings this year like the law requires. It's already been wrapped up in a neat little bundle. They just need to put the icing on the cake.

This was added to the notice today in a revised version of the notice ...
Registration for those wishing to address the board will be from 8-8:30 a.m. The meeting will begin promptly at 9 a.m. Attendees with materials for Board members’ review are asked to please send those electronically only, via scan or clear photo, to betsy.jones@dcnr.alabama.gov no later than August 18. Attendance at the meeting might be limited in accordance with the venue capacity and social distancing guidelines.

Eddie i heard some grumblings about Taxidermists (possibly even processors) might have to have the harvest number on a deer before they can accept it an animal. Any truth to that, or just some BS rumor someone has made up?

So basically what this means is that they are going to limit the ones who signed up to ask questions no time at all to even address the CAB....
