I lucked up today and landed a farm to hunt. It's 164 acres private land. It has about 100 acres fields and the rest woods. Very excited to get it. My question is...The fields are planted in Soybeans and i have never hunted like that. I have always hunted rough country woods and open fields. I am going to look at it this weekend and was wondering what you guys would look for. Like i said i have never hunted even close to a bean field.

Find the trails coming in to the beans......should look like a highway. Then it all depends on your weapon of choice as to how close you set up on the trails. A hundred acre field should give you several stand locations....I always like the corners in a bean field.

Look for corners where there is a landscape change.....they will funnel down these to and from the fields...

What they said. I personally hate hunting fields like that. I always make the wron decision and they come up just out of range. Lol
