The really addictive part of reloading is when you see that first kill laying on the ground with ammo you loaded

I do think you’d get more consistency from IMR 4350 in that 3006

^^^^ THIS is for real! The feeling of satisfaction and accomplishment has to be experienced to be appreciated. And knowing that you'll never again be at the mercy of a retailer for your ammo is priceless.

I'm about to embark on loading 44mag for the first time, just gotta get some H110. Alliant 2400 would be more awesomer but it's a true unicorn these days.

DW, what recipe are you using for your 44 mag loads?

Today I picked up a nice one owner Ruger 44 Carbine from 1984 and a nice used Ruger Souper Blackhawk 44 mag from 1993. Then I went across the county to Shooters Warehouse in Cullman to get 2lbs of H110 and 2 lbs of IMR 4227. I haven't had to buy any powder in over 10 years and I 'bout had a stroke BUT since they had powder I got enough to last a long time.
