Question for the turkey guru's

Post by bobwhite »

I have a pretty good sized flock of Turkeys that "feed" in my yard pretty often....I was watching them this afternoon and I noticed one of the hens had a beard...probably 5 inches or so and very scraggly...just a few strands but a beard all the same. I have always heard that bearded hens make the best mothers and was wondering if that was true.
