I'm cheering for chuckles and company to eliminate turkey season completely. Hopefully they'll continue to push more people away from hunting.

I got a hen showing up in my garden spot nearly every day. Maybe she'll bring a gobbler with her at some point.

If she's there, he's there, somewhere nearby.

The people across the street have 3 big white turkeys. They were hammering at daylight during that warm spell.

I saw a gobbler breeding a hen a couple weeks ago outside Lafayette and haven’t seen another wild Turkey anywhere on the road since then.

Nobody ive talked to is hearing much yet around Welch and Lafayette.

Which warm spell? We've only had a few days of cool spell. Otherwise it's been summer since last year. I love to hunt turkeys on a clear frosty morning but unfortunately we have very few of those here in hell.

I’ve been listening for a few weeks. Slim pickings for me this year. It’s going to be a 30-40 mile per bird year I believe. I had one gobbling Saturday about 30 times but when his feet left the limb, he went to the neighbors hay field.

My hearing loss is significant in both ears, but worse in the left ear. That makes it difficult to determine direction of sound. I can hear a turkey gobbling but I need 3 or 4 gobbles to feel confident in the direction. Throw in a howling 20 mph wind and I get more confused than sleepy Joe.

You should get ya set of hearing aids or that Walkers Game Ear....Buddy of mine had issues hearing and got him a set...he tried one but couldn't tell the direction they're were gobbling....once he had both in it was a game changer for him...

Mine same way. I think it’s from windows being down in the truck over the years. I think you or Marlon told me that and it made the most sense.

Riding with window down and looking over our right shoulder watching cutters and hay balers. Puts your left ear towards the engine
