Worst weather

This turkey season that I can remember
The whole week is full of rain.....Again !!

And if it's not raining the wind is howling. I can't hear in the wind.

Well if I’ve accomplished anything this morning it getting soaking wet
Radar showed a lull between 0600-0800…..Nope didn’t happen
I’m sitting in. Shooting house now about 100yds from my original setup

I hope you got a cot in there, if waiting on a break in the rain it might be a minute.

No turkeys
No dry clothes

I use a nomad poncho. It’s expensive, buts it’s nice. Rolls up tight and fits in my vest. When wearing it, it completely covers my vest and I do not have to worry about my calls getting wet. And when sitting down it’s plenty big enough to keep me completely covered. I know some here will gripe about the price, and that’s understandable. But if you hunt as much as I do, it’s money well spent.

I'll just climb into a shooting house, in the rain, and take a nap. If I don't get a turkey I'll still get a good nap.
