The Jake Invasion

Post by Deadeye48 »

Since the beginning of season Ive had a group of 3 jakes come in and then yesterday I had a group of 6 to come in ready for a fight
A few days ago I got a pic of 4 jakes on the far end of the property
Its entertaining to see them come in looking for a fight and for a hen and I can say i was tempted with one of those birds yesterday
His beard was only 4" but it was thick but he got a pass as did the other 5
This is the result of 4 years of consistent hard trapping....Glad to see it

I've busted a few.
If he comes in acting like a man, he can die like a man.
Kamala Cameltoe....unburdened by what has been. Mmmkaay?
Traitor Joe Biden....this the untiedskatescomerca! You know, the thing. Let me choose the words, come on man. It's Trump's fault.

I’m guilty of that very thing in times past
If he came in like the he was the cock of the walk he got shot
My perspective has changed since those days especially because of the work I put in to predator elimination
Usually the turn around point is 4 years when starting a good trapping program and we’re seeing that now in the 4th season on this property
I’ve heard as many as 6 mature birds gobbling and know there are more that just don’t gobble
God willing next season is going to be some more kind of fun

If I see a Jake this morning , it might get shot.

We had a group of 8 jakes one year at our place in Oklahoma that seemed like they covered 4000 acres in a weekend. It was tough with them running all over the place.

What’s crazy , is the next year there were hardly any gobblers on that piece of land.
