Good! Try to get to that spot before he does, even if you have to go in before light. Sit on him and wait! maybe try A strutter decoy, if you have one, or A lone hen and call every 30 minutes or so, he will come! Don't over call, Just A couple of clucks or A short series of yelps will do. Be ready for him to come in silent, an old bird with a routine doesn't have to gobble, and he knows it! A hen can hear him drumming a long ways off, so if he gobbles, he's just attracting predators, so BE READY!
I know its not as much fun as them coming in gobbling and strutting, but you got to do it sometimes if you want him dead!
