Browning BAR II Safari

Bought this rifle new in late 90’s
A few lite scuffs
Iron sights No boss system Still has the hood over the front sight
Chambered in 270 win
No scope ever mounted on this rifle

Does it have the williams sites? Or it have the hood on the front?

Has the hood over the front sight and adjustable elevation and windage rear sight
Probably less than 2 boxes shot through this rifle

I love a 742
Remove that shitty plastic dust cover and keep it dry, it'll never jam. The 742s are similar to the m16/m4s. Oil is their enemy. Keep em dry and use compressed air to clean it. Don't use any more oil than you can put on a Qtip swab.

With 742 it was a timing issue more than a oil issue though that did cause problems
What Ive learned about them is that if you had a good one it couldnt be beat but if you had a bad one you looked for someone else to own it
Ive never heard of a jamming issue with the BAR....ever

I didn’t take it you were dissing on it
Everyone knows the BAR is a tried and true firearm
I think the only way to get them to fail is to be just plain abusive to them
