Brown trout

Post by daniel white »

Me and my wife went to the white river at bull shoals Arkansas a few weeks ago. Super fun trip, caught a pile of trout. We caught our two best fish at the same time. Using frozen shad in deep water. 21” and 22.5” Browns. You can keep 5 a day, but they have to be 14” and under. So we throwed all ours back. Didn’t catch a single one under 14”. Win win I guess.

Good looking fish...if they eat as good as they look...thats even better ...

So, tell us a little more about the trip please. Where did you stay? Take a boat or rent one? How much did it cost, roundabout. I was supposed to go to Bull shoals for my senior trip. I did something else and regretted it ever since. I figure ill have to check it out one day

We stayed at a duplex style condo. Think it was $150 a night total fee. Hired a guide at $350 half day fee.

There is a place on the river called Stenson I think was the name. That’s where I wished we would have stayed. It’s some cabins right on the river. Can rent a boat, and stay at a nice little place. That river can be real dangerous if they are pulling to much water though.
