Jigs or minners?

Post by SuperSpike »

Which do yall have better luck on this time of year? Dropping them down deep or trolling? I just need a starting point. Never crappie fished in the winter time.

I caught a fine mess of crappie yesterday on jigs. I caught some with the jig suspended below a cork but most were caught casting with a slow retrieve. In about 10ft of water.

We have a pond on our lease that is about 12 acres that is loaded with crappie. Most of the ones I kept yesterday were 12-14 inches. We eating them for supper right now.
