I'm in the market. What suggestions does everyone have. Doesn't have to be a thing of beauty, Just looking for something very functional.

I use the Kershaw 90% of the time... I like it cuz it's easy to put a fine blade on it.... I also like the Buck knives for the same reason.... Even though they don't carry the quality name....

Skinning Knife

Depends on a couple things but the knife I seem to use the most is a Boker Arbolito w/ gut hook and stag handle I've had since about '02-03. Also got a 2 knife set from RMEF that stays in my pack. They are Browning knives one for gutting & field dressing the other for skinning & caping. There's actually a set just like it listed on eBay for $12.99 right now.
